“Healthy people make a healthy nation”, The Projects of Mitralok Charitable Trust are based on curative health care as well as preventative health measures. India is the mother of all medical sciences from Ayurveda to Surgery, the land which has given birth to the great scientist in this field like Patanjali, Susutra, Charak. Mitralok Charitable Trust has taken a small step in keeping alive the work of those legends, by establishing yoga Kendra, Ayurveda Kendra, homeopathy centers, aroygamitr, and many more throughout the country and currently running more than thousand of projects in the field of healthcare through their representative organisation, Seva Parmo Dharm.
Despite the significant improvement in life expectancy and child mortality rates, vast swathes of the country’s population are still vulnerable and deprived of access to good healthcare. To tackle this Mitralok Charitable Trust organize health Camps in collaboration with Hospitals like Apollo, Supreme and Vision. The camps are conducted monthly within the Ashram’s premises for our beneficiaries. During these camps the residents are given a fully body and eye check-ups by the visiting physicians. Kolkata Sankaracharya Foundation have sponsored 50+ eye operation till date.
Yoga Kendra
Health Camp
Yoga is an ancient and complex practice, rooted in Indian philosophy. It began as a spiritual practice but has become popular as a way of promoting physical and mental well-being. Yoga is a combination of both preventative and curative approach to healthcare.
Kolkata Sankaracharya Foundation through its representative organisations are running around thousand of Yoga Kendra in urban and rural areas, where regular classes are taken in Yoga sastra and regular training programs are also run for yoga instructors.
